How to purchase the Margaritaville specialty license plate

There are a couple ways to purchase a specialty license plate in Florida, including:

ONLINE: Some county tax collector websites allow any Florida resident to purchase pre-sale vouchers online for specialty license plates. Your purchase will be attached to your Florida driver record and can be redeemed at any tax collector office in Florida once the license plates are produced and available.

IN PERSON: Make an appointment for tag renewal or registration by visiting www.flhsmv.gov to find the location of your nearest County Tax Collector’s Office or Florida license plate agency (DMV). During your appointment, purchase the Margaritaville specialty license plate.

Pre-sale vouchers are allocated for a specific specialty plate. Pre-sale vouchers can be purchased for yourself or for any other Florida resident, but they cannot be transferred or refunded once purchased. The fees will be refunded only if the license plate does not meet its pre-sale requirement.
